Welcome to the 'retro shopper' section. Yep, we all know that playing retro games is fun but finding the stuff can be hard (and expensive!!). This section hopes to shed some light on the retro treasures hidden away in our fine city. There will be regular content updates and we will cover some of the more rarer items in more depth. As a One Step Beyond 'old boy' I still cry into my beer over it's demise, but there are still some great gaming stores to feed our addiction.

Probably the last of the old school retro gaming shops in Norwich and certainly the jewel in the crown. A great selection of both games and systems. Expect to find items for Sega Master System / Megadrive / Game Gear / Saturn, Nintendo NES / SNES / N64, Atari Lynx, and others. Good prices and a warm welcome guaranteed.

How refreshing to see a large chain take the brave step of stocking retro games. And of course, you can indulge in the old and new in one place. Their prices may be a little high on some items but you can't beat them for variety.

Yes, the name gives it away. This is the spiritual successor to the once great One Step Beyond. Paul has done well to catch the atmosphere of the old shop, with cheap games, dvd's, and hardware.
For the gamer looking for more old skool kicks, there are games for the Megadrive, Saturn, Dreamcast, SNES, N64, and Playstation. Keep an eye out for some classic retro machines in the glass display cabinets. Why not check out the selection of DVD's and CD's for more of the 80's experience. Prices are reasonable and it's worth checking their glass display cabinet (Lynx and Game Gear cartridges can sometimes be found).

The longest running secondhand store in Norwich that holds retro gaming items. Selection of boxed and unboxed games for Megadrive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Super Nintendo, N64, and Playstation 1. Also has some hardware available for the above systems. Prices are always very good and you can pick up some real bargains. They have an e-bay store, although it is better to visit the shop as retro items are not listed due to the quantity involved.
